Sub- Engagement of ActApprentice under Apprentice Act 1961 for the year 2019-20
In terms of Railway Board's instructions in their letter No. E(MPP) 2013/6/14 dated- 03.12.2019, the panel of Act Apprentices is proposed to be formed through online pro~ess. Accordingly, applications for 480 slots are invited for Act Apprenticeship Training under Act Apprentice Act, 1961 by North Central Railway,DRM Office, Jhansi.
Eligible candidates may apply and register their application w.e.f. 17.03.2021 to 16.04.2021 on website www.mponline.gov.i"n. Details of the seats in different trades are given below:-
01. Reservation as per instructions contained in Rly Bd's L.No E;(MPP) 2002/6/10 dated- 17.06.11, will be SC 15%, ST 7.5% and OBC 27%. If adequate candidates belonging to Scheduled ta:stes , and Scheduled Tribes' are not ava•jlable, then the seats so reserved for them may be filled'by candidates belonging to ST by SC and SC by' ST as the case may be.lf the prescribed seats -. cannot be filled even in the manner given' above, then the seats lying unfilled may be filled by . candidatesother than SC or ST. Similarly the seats remaining unfilled for OBC candidates will be filled by unreserved category.
•3% of total seats are reserved for Ex. Servicemen, the~r children and children of armed Forces, Personnel, as per details mentioned below-( Authority- E(MPP) 2002l06NI dt. 31.07.2006 )
a) Children of deceased/disabled Ex-Servicemen including those deceased/disabled' during peace time.
b) Children of ex-servicemen.
c) Children of serving jawans.
d) Children of serving officers.
e) Ex-servicemen.'
•3% of total seats will be reserved for physically handicapped candidates. Only locomotor disabledor Cerebral palsy (OH) who suffers from 40% or more than 40%of relevant disability and nearing nanctcappec (HH) having 60 decibels or more in ear in the conversational range of frequency are eligible to appOy.A physical handicapped person who wants to avail the benefit of reservation will have to submit a disability. Certificate Issued by a competent authority i.e. Medical Board constituted by the Central or state Govemment.
8. Before applying online, applicant should satisfy himself that he is fulfilling desired qualification, eligibility and ~o~herterms ~nd conditions. Administration has the right to cancel the application at any stage of sele,,:tlon. If candidate Is not rulfilling the requisite qualification and has been erroneously selected, tr,9 candidature of such candidate will be terminated without any information.
9. ~an~idate not possessing the ITI certiticale issued by NCVT are not eligible to apply. In such applications, no correspondence will be made with any person or organization.
10. Selection Process-Panel will be formed as per the instructions contained in North Central Railway Headquarters office, Prayagraj's letter No. -797:-EfTrg/Act.App.1961/NCR/2013 Part-11 dt. 23.11 ..15
(i).T~eselection of Act Apprentice for training will be done on the basis of meritlist prepared from the list of eligIble candidates. There will be no written or oral examination for this selection: .
(ii)Merit list will be prepared on the basis of average of percentage of marks obtained in10'h or equivalent examination from any recognized Boardllnstitute and percentage of marks obtained in ITI
(iii) The calculation of percentage of marks will be based on the total marks obtained in 101hor its equivalent examination from an education Boardllnstitute and not on the basis of marks of any subject or a group of subjects.
(iv) If more than one candidate get equal average marks/percentage, than the older candidate will rank higher in the list. The above information will be computerized and the merit will be prepared, in this' manner , (v) Final select list will be prepared Tradewise, Communitywise, Categorywise, Reservationwis~ prepared . out of the combined merit.
(vi)The select list equal to twice the number of Act Apprentices slot will be prepared I.e..rnaln list : - - - equal to number of Act Apprentices slot and waiting list of equal number of candidates,' C.andidate . equal to the number of Act Apprentices slot will be called from the main list for ~_Cfocument verification and medical examination. Thereafter, candidates equal to the number of candidates found unsuitable during document verification or medical examination or being absent wifl be called from the waiting list in order of merit and seniority. .'
(vii) The candidate.will be eligible for training only after being declared medically fit by Authorized R.ailway n Medical Officer. If the candidate fails in medical examination, his/her claim for training will not- be accepted.
(viii) No Daily allowance or Travelling allowance will be payable to the candidates called for document verification and medical examination.
11. Hostel/Residential facility will not be provided to selected candidates. The selected candidates will have to make boarding and lodging arrangements themselves during the course of training period.
12. The' merit list of selected candidates will be uploaded on the North Central Railway's website inandcandidatesincludedineligiblelistwillbeinformedbypost.Nocorrespondence will be made in this regard with other candidates

14. The candidates who have already completed their training under Apprentice Act,1961 from any other institute/establishment are not eligible to apply under this notification.
15. Agreement of Tralnlng- The selected c~ndldate Of his/her guardlan(ln case of minor) has to execute an apprenticeship contract or agreement With employer before apprenticeship training as prescribed under the Apprentice Act, 1961.
16 After completion of training every apprentice has to undertake Trade Test on aMIndia level concuctec by' Director General, Employment & Training, ~injstry of Labour & Employment, New Delhi. Passed candidate will get National Trade Certificate.but Willhave no guarantee of employment after training. &v

3. age limit. a) Candidate must have completed 15 years and should not be more than 24 years of age as on17 .03.2021.
b) The upper age limit may be relaxed by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years in case of aBC candidates.
c) .For physically handicapped persons, upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years.
4. Educational qualification. The candidate must have passed io" class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 system) with minimum 50% marks and ITI passed certificate In relevant trade from a recognized Industrial Training Institute affiliated to NCVT. Certificate issued by Principal will not be accepted.
5. Stipend•Stipend will be paid as per instructions issued by Railvvay Board from time to time.
