Karnataka:
1. Magadi Kere Conservation Reserve
2. Ankasamudra Bird Conservation Reserve.
3. Aghanashini Estuary.
Tamil Nadu:
1. Karaivetti Bird Sanctuary.
2. Longwood Shola Reserve Forest.
With these 5 new additions, the total of Ramsar sites in India is 80.
Magadi Kere Conservation Reserve:
1. It is located in Shirahatti Taluk of Gadag district, Karnataka.
2. It consists of Magadi Lake and the tank supports variety of species of birds,fishes and other aquatic fauna.
3. In order to protect the habitat and the breeding ground for water fowl and other aquatic fauna Magadikere Conservation Reserve was constituted in 2015.
4. Migratory species seen here: Bar headed goose, Eurasian Spoon bill, Comb Duck, Peregrine Falcon, Norther pintail, Gadwall etc.
5. It is also host to globally threatened birds like white headed Ibis, Black Ibis etc.
6. Apart from these many other birds like Coppersmith Barbet, Common Kingfisher, Pied kingfisher, Green sand piper, Common sandpiper, River tern, Brahminy Kite etc are found in and around the Tank.

1. It is located in Ankasamudra Village of Hagaribommanahalli (HB Halli) Taluk, Ballari District, Karnataka.
2. It is located on the banks of Tungabhadra dam back water area.
3. It is the first bird conservation reserve in the North Karnataka or Kalyan Karnataka region. It was notified as conservation reserve in 2017.
4. It is a temporary water body (tank bed) spread over an area of about 244.04 acre with good number of Karijali trees (Acacia nilotica), serving as a breeding and roosting ground for the water birds.
a. Since, it is a temporary lake/water body, the tank remains filled with water only when the Tungabhadra dam was full during monsoon season.
5. Migratory birds visiting this site are: Greater Flamingo, Painted Stork, Spotted Pelican, Comb Duck, Egrets, Cormorants, Ibis, Oriental Darter, Grebes, Spot-billed duck, and Whistling duck etc.
